2. Marcelo is a very
patient teacher.
The lessons are very
methodical making it easy to learn. Both Marcelo and Lorena are
accomodating, they helped us with reservations for tours and
suggested many activities for us to try. They also helped us find
spanish schools
in other cities. We learned
a lot in just four days. The school itself is beautiful. The
classrooms are clean
w/natural sight and gorgeous views.

experience with Marcelo. He is friendly and easy to talk to. I
learned a lot from him. I met Lorena on the street because I was
loking for a different sapnish school, she didn´t pressure us to
come to them at all; this easy-going narure remained throughout the
course. I would definitely recommend them.

6. Learning spanish with
Lorena and Marcelo is absolutely a blase! They are some of the best
maestros I´ve ever met! That explains why I started
in Baños but continued in Quito and Otavalo. I just long for
more classes and more classes. I feel that my spanish climbs from
primary to high school
level!
Both Lorena and Marcelo
understand the needs of the student very well. They know I love to
know more about history and culture of Ecuador so they share a lot
of stories about this beautiful country to me when teaching me
grammar. In this way, grammar is no longer a headache to me! In the
future, I believe one day I will speak spanish even better but I owe
it to this two wonderful maestros!
Last but not least, with
Marcelo, I started to learn “charango”, one of the loviest
instruments in the world. I am now proud to see I can play a couple
of songs in just a few days!
Macchu Picchu is in
trouble now. I am going to
play charango to amuse and
amaze the people there when I go back to do volunteer work there in
April! I think it´s the best present for them.

7. Yo me llamo Daniel Malin, soy de los Estados
Unidos, tengo 22 años y estoy trabajando como el coordinador de la
Intag Spanish School, un proyecto de desarrollo en la provincia de
Imbabura. He venido a Baños desde la comunidad de Pucará con una
señora quien se está capacitando para hacerse profesora de español
aquí, trabajo con ella y Lorena, de vez en cuando apoyando su
capacitación. Pero además decidí tomar unas clases para mejorar mi
español. Mi profe fue Marco, y les digo la verdad cuando afirmo que
él es uno de los mejores profesores en Baños, Ecuador y quizás del
mundo. Con su ayuda, nosotros trabajamos casi exclusivamente en el
Subjuntivo y ahora ya me siento más cómodo con el tiempo más temido
por todos nosotros gringos. Espero que usted tome clases con Marco.
Si tuviera más tiempo, yo me habría quedado más tiempo para revisar
más, pasear en los montes y farrear en la Calle de Perdición.
Ahora, cuando yo regrese a Pucará, podré hablar
con más confianza. Ojalá yo siga aprendiendo siempre, pero estoy
seguro que mis dos semanas pasado estudiando en Raíces Spanish
School me han ayudado más que cuatro años de clases universitarias
en los Estados Unidos. Vale la pena, quédese aquí y sabrá la verdad;
también: Esta es la escuela más valiosa en Baños.
Les agradezco por esta buena experiencia. Les
